Nestle' Tollhouse...

Monica from Friends was a very smart lady to think the Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe was far superior to any other chocolate chip cookie recipe. In case you were living under a rock in the year 2000 when this episode aired, it was about Phoebe losing her grandmothers top secret cookie recipe. Monica goes crazy trying to duplicate the recipe just to find out Phoebe's grandmother is "Nestle' Tollhouse" (said in funny french accent) so Phoebe says...

I always used to buy the little logs of cookie dough from Nestle that you had to cut out of the plastic wrapping and roll individual balls then bake. I next moved onto the pre-cut squares of Nestle cookie dough that you simply tore off then baked. I then moved on to the big guns, those big tubs of cookie dough that are re-sealable were simply a gift from god! You can take a spoonful out and eat it raw, or bake just few at a time then seal it back up! Now days I use the nestle tollhouse recipe and make them from scratch which is even better!

My grandma has always used the Nestle Tollhouse recipe. Through-out highschool she would always show up and surprise me and my friends with freshly baked Nestle cookies warm out of the oven! Needless to say my grandma was pretty popular at my highschool. I used to get all sorts of bribes for cookies anytime she brought them in. Those cookies were a big part of my highschool career... I will continue to make these delicious, nostalgic treats for my children and grandchildren for ages to come.

  1. I have never wanted a chocolate chip cookie so badly (not one or two, but three posts about them!). Your link led to a strange place, but that may be because a login is necessary. Perfect picture, and scratch is definitely better than tub!
