My lunch today is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The reason I chose to eat this is because I saw that there was free food in the den when I got to school. My sandwich consits of two white pieces of bread, a cheap kind of peanut butter and cheap jelly. I say this because I have never heard of that brand when I saw it.
The peanut butter is smooth like lotion, and the jelly is as lumpy as cottage cheese. When I swallow I feel like I'm drowning in a mud puddle. Not to mention that sometimes the jelly drips from the sandwich and gets on your shirt and in turn ruins your clothes. Every so often the peanut butter might end up on your hands, if you have long hair it may stick to it. Occassionally it will end up on your face, cheeks and chin.
When I was a young child I absolutely loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was something that my mom made for me when we were on the go. As I got older and knew better I found out how fattening white bread was and needless to say, this is no longer my favorite sandwich.
White isn't fattening, necessarily, it is merely nutrition-free. Best picture ever, and I think I may have to try the recipe (applesauce instead of jam or jelly sounds great with the toasted version of the pb and j). And did you notice the flavor of the "cheap" jelly? Details, details.
